Kelly Osbourne has issued an apology on Facebook for that Latinos cleaning toilets joke she made on The View today, and it’s all about how it’s the fault of the show’s format and of Rosie Perez. Also, she’s not a racist, so don’t even go there!

To recap, on Tuesday’s The View, co-host Rosie Perez says that Americans should have a conversation about Latinos and immigration, but without Donald Trump’s racist invective. Osbourne replies, “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?”

Now, after getting called out by Twitter, Osbourne has apologized. Here’s the Facebook apology in full:

I want to start by saying I ALWAYS take responsibility for my actions. In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT. I whole-hearted f*cked up today. I don’t want to bullsh*t anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped mid-sentence by Rosie and couldn’t finish my point I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words. I should have known better as I was on The View and it was live. I’ve learned a very valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole. By the way I clean my own f*cking toilets.

If “I was interrupted by Rosie Perez (but I’m not blaming her)” isn’t a lame excuse, then I don’t know what is. Nevertheless, Osbourne’s carefully chosen words after she made a racist comment on live television will hopefully set the record straight: there are no Latinos cleaning Kelly Osbourne’s toilets. Should we start the conversation about immigration she was hoping her joke inspired with that?

Still, Kelly’s “apology” isn’t the most depressing part about this incident. It’s the fact that all of this circles back to Donald Trump.
