Let’s Talk Thursday’s Geeky TV: ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Closes Out The Season

Last week on Legends Of Tomorrow, the whole season was revealed to have been basically an elaborate prank on the part of Rip Hunter’s bosses, the Time Masters. It’d be kind of funny if somebody hadn’t died nobly to make sure it was undone. So, yeah, the team is back together and ready to beat up some immortals.

Legends of Tomorrow has been a surprisingly entertaining ride. The team-up show has cycled through a host of different subgenres and worked surprisingly hard to feel like a comic book with its episodes, which are relatively self-contained yet connected at the same time. Of course, the success of our heroes is never in doubt; after all, there’s a second season on the way. We even have a built-in plot for it: Vandal Savage and his rascally behavior is being tolerated because the Time Masters believe he’s the only one who can prevent an alien invasion in 2175.

Presumably, of course, Rip will be stuck cleaning up that mess while also trying to fix the timelines of our heroes. And it’s unlikely everybody is going to walk away in the finale. But we’ll see who lives and who’ll be meeting up with their maker tonight at 8 p.m. EST on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
