Since “Louie” debuted last week, I searched high and low for the much-talked-about poker scene, but it was nowhere tobe found. Finally, Louis C.K. got past FX’s copyright robots and put it on YouTube yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier to share it here.
This is seven minutes of the best television I’ve seen all year: thoughtful, profane, realistic, humorous dialog that approaches the issues of homosexuality and homophobia from several different fronts. This scene deserves to win an award of some sort. Is there an award for Best Enlightened Gay Joke? No? Well, there should be. If it helps, I have several molds of my erection that we can bronze and make into statuettes.
