Louis C.K. Impersonates Jerry Seinfeld And Jimmy Fallon, Talks About Being A Struggling Comic

UPDATE: Well, damn it, for some reason NBC took the video down, so please accept as a substitute the video below of Louis CK talking about the time he pooped his pants before meeting New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio.

Last night on The Tonight Show, Louis C.K. stopped by to talk about how he ruined Jimmy Fallon’s audition for The Dana Carvey Show and to charm us with the segment above, in which he does impersonations of Jerry Seinfeld and Jimmy Fallon while talking about his episode of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, then veers into an earnest discussion about how much he misses the days when he was a struggling comic.

“I miss struggling, because you don’t get that back,” he says, talking about the days when he was “trying to get an apple pie out of a vending machine on Route 40 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania” and how he “cried like a baby” the first time he made $10,000 telling jokes.

“I remember a few things exactly.” C.K. continues. “I remember my daughter being born, I remember my dad spanking me, and I remember working at Rumors Comedy Club in Winnipeg.” Then he perfectly ends the segment by interrupting Fallon’s plugging of Louie to recommend everyone watch The Tonight Show instead: “Don’t watch this. [motions at self] Who watches this?”
