Last season had “Sad Mouse.” This season has “Monster Pals,” a sad, sweet lowercase-digital short starring Mike O’Brien as a monster looking for his best friend after he gets surgery to look more human-like. It was well executed all around, and now I know that my heart breaks when I see a melancholy monster trying to find his pal on the Today Show. Should’ve ask Al Roker for help.
