Judd Apatow’s New Netflix Series ‘Love’ Has A Teaser And Premiere Date

Way back in September 2014, Netflix snapped up an intriguing series called Love that was to be written and produced by a team led by Judd Apatow, and star Paul Rust and Community veteran Gillian Jacobs. A lot has happened in the 13 months since — Disney’s Dog with a Blog ended its run, other things — so you’d be forgiven if you pushed it to a less-trafficked area of your brain for a while. But now Netflix has given it a teaser and official premiere date, so the time has come to pull it back up front.

The facts: All 10 half-hour episodes of the first season of Love — which has already been picked up for a second season — will hit the streaming site on Friday, February 19. Netflix describes the series thusly:

Created, written and executive produced by Judd Apatow, Paul Rust and Lesley Arfin, Love follows nice guy Gus (Rust) and brazen wild-child Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) as they navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment, love and other things they were hoping to avoid. Love is an unflinching, hilarious and excruciatingly honest take on modern relationships.

Netflix also released the first still from the series. What do you think Gillian Jacobs is yelling at Paul Rust about? My guess: She’s pointing at the dog from Dog with a Blog and is furious Paul doesn’t recognize him. Too soon to rule it out.
