Netflix’s new series Between is directed in part by Jon Cassar (24: Live Another Day) and follows the story of the young citizens who inhabit a small town named “Pretty Lake.” After a mysterious plague wipes out everyone older than 21, the government quarantines the area, leaving the kids to fend for themselves.
The story here looks like a cross between Lord Of The Flies, Under The Dome, and maybe a little bit of CW’s The 100 as well. Jim Watson — who played young Abraham Setrakian in FX’s The Strain — and iCarly‘s Jennette McCurdy headline the series. Binge-watchers take note, Netflix will be doing things a little different with the series by rolling out new episodes on a weekly basis.
Between will premiere on the streaming service on Friday, May 21.
