If Disney Channel and Nickelodeon have proven anything, it’s that there’s still potential to be had in the multi-cam sitcom space as it pertains to family programming. Just look at shows like Girl Meets World and iCarly for examples. In fact, that style is what Netflix was probably trying to achieve with its new adaptation of Richie Rich. However, if the first trailer for the new series is any indication, what they ended up with is anything but charming or interesting. Instead, it just looks frightening and, for lack of a better term, off.
