The networks made a slew of decisions regarding their fall lineups yesterday, picking up pilots and renewing shows you likely don’t watch. It’s not exactly enthralling stuff, but I’m kind of obligated to provide coverage (this being a TV blog and all). Here’s a rundown:
FOX — Picked up five pilots while renewing “Human Target” and “Lie to Me.” Among the pilots is a single-camera comedy called “Running Wilde” from Mitch Hurwitz (“Arrested Development”), starring Will Arnett, who co-wrote the pilot.
FX — Picked up an American version of Australia’s “Wilfred,” which was previously featured on Warming Glow. Jason Gann, who created and starred in the original, will retain the titular role as a man in a dog costume.
NBC — Picked up sitcom “Perfect Couples” (pictured) from the writer-producers behind “30 Rock” and “Friends.” The show stars Olivia Munn, that one chick, some guys, another girl, and the assh-le with loafers and a sweater draped around his neck.
