Jimmy Kimmel Introduces The World To A Clerk Who Sold A Winning Powerball Ticket

Other than the Tennessee family that apparently ignored every rational piece of advice about winning a piece of the largest Powerball jackpot in history, the biggest winner in the aftermath of the insanity over $1.6 billion is Balbir Atwal. Who the hell is Balbir Atwal? He’s the owner of a Chino Hills, California, 7-Eleven, where one unknown soon-to-be one-percenter (or cautionary tale) purchased his or her winning ticket. For being the owner of the store that sold a winning jackpot ticket, Atwal has received $1 million from the Powerball powers-that-be. It’s perhaps the biggest step this man has taken in proving that the American Dream is still real.

To his credit, Atwal plans to share the cash with his store employees, and that should include clerk Muzaffar Faroqui, who works at the now-famous 7-Eleven. Even if Faroqui doesn’t get a piece of Atwal’s reward, he at least got his own prize in an appearance on Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. Known to his coworkers and customers as MF, this man was understandably all smiles during his interview with Kimmel. Of course, Atwal showed up to steal the spotlight, so we’ll have to keep an eye on this story to make sure it doesn’t become the next focus of Making a Murderer.
