Raven Symone has a history of saying some startlingly ignorant things, so we really shouldn’t be surprised that she might not have the tightest grasp on how the Presidential election works. On Thursday’s episode of The View, Symone claimed that she has plans to leave the country should things swing in the Republicans’ favor. Despite focusing heavily on the American aspects of being African-American to the point of shedding the label, Symone is ready to throw that aside for life across the Canadian border.
“My confession for this election is if any Republican candidate gets nominated, I’m gonna move to Canada with my entire family… I already have my ticket. I literally bought my ticket, I swear.”
While I understand what she’s trying to say, someone should probably break it to her that a Republican will be nominated, because that’s how an election works. Whether or not they’ll win the presidency is a completely different matter, but one of these clowns is definitely getting nominated. Ms. Symone might want to do a little research about the democratic process. It might be for the best if we just let Canada have her, though. She certainly has been acting so not Raven lately.
