With Parks and Recreation wrapping up with two episodes a pop on Tuesday nights, so NBC can seemingly sweep it under the rug and pretend like Pawnee never existed, we haven’t had much time to ponder the other wonderful callbacks that we’d like to see before the series finale. Fortunately, we can cross several items off the master list with tomorrow night’s pair of episodes, with the biggest and most important revelations being that Keegan-Michael Key will return as Donna’s boyfriend, Joe, for a very special event and… TREAT YO SELF!
Meanwhile, thanks to the four – count them: one, two, three, four – new preview clips that NBC has released, we also know that Leslie and Ron are using their friendship renaissance to save JJ’s Diner, set to the world’s greatest protest song, “We’re Not Gonna Take It”…
Leslie will also try to get to the bottom of Gryzzl’s seemingly-cool demeanor so she can gain the public’s support is procuring the Sweetums land for her national park…
But perhaps more important than diner or park, we finally get to see the return of Bert Macklin, as he takes on Puppy Hating Dan for putting farts in his lunch…
And did someone say a ninja invasion of Dennis Feinstein’s headquarters? No? Well, we’re getting that, too.
