Scott Patterson confirmed that the cast is working out details for a Gilmore Girls reunion, but nothing is set in stone yet.
On the show, Patterson played Luke Danes, Lorelei’s long-suffering love interest and owner of Luke’s Diner in Stars Hollow. During an interview with the Gilmore Guys podcast, he confirmed that the Gilmore Girls cast is trying to make a reunion happen:
“I will say this, there are talks going on at the moment,” Patterson said, before clamming up. “I can’t really go into any details, but there is some activity. I’m hopeful, and I’m in. I think it would be a big event, and I think it would be a great fan celebration.”
Almost the entire principal cast of Gilmore Girls will be appearing at the Austin Television Festival in June, with the exception of Melissa McCarthy, who played chef Sookie St. James on the show. Considering that all the details are already worked out for that event, though, Patterson’s comments suggest that another reunion might be happening. Maybe the long-rumored Gilmore Girls movie is happening or another event or convention for Gilmore Girls fans.
