Because welcoming Donald Trump wasn’t big enough for Jimmy Kimmel’s Wednesday’s night show, he also launched another batch of celebrities reading mean tweets. In the clip above, mean tweeters suggest that Julia Louis-Dreyfus should retire, Sean Penn is full of farts, and that there apparently aren’t many worse alternatives to watching Key & Peele. We also get some from Kurt Russell, still featuring that sweet stache from The Hateful Eight, and a little bit from Daniel Radcliffe. It’s always magical with a little bit from Harry Potter.
Will there ever be a shortage of these videos? I suppose when Twitter finally becomes defunct or turns into something more than just 140-character microblogging. Or maybe when all celebrities finally launch themselves from the planet during a secret escape from the coming asteroid apocalypse (they knew and they didn’t tell us!) I’d say it’s when Jimmy Kimmel goes off the air, but I don’t see that happening for a while. He’s built himself a pretty nice spot and has backing from Disney.
Anyway, Sean Penn is full of farts. I stand by that and point to it as the reason he doesn’t make comedies these days. Give us that updated Spicoli adveture, Penn! You know he’s likely got stoner PTSD or something.
