Selma Blair has been acting for a long time. But her best received role isn’t the one where she kisses Sarah Michelle Gellar in Cruel Intentions, or where she had to put up with Charlie Sheen. Blair says that she’s getting the most attention for playing Kris Jenner on American Crime Story: The People v O.J. Simpson.
“It was like I finally cast the biggest role in my life, no matter how small it is, it doesn’t matter, because Kris Jenner apparently is the queen,” Blair said on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Plus, she and Kris Jenner look scarily similar. “How did I not wind up in that family?”
Maybe she’s an honorary member now. Corden asked her about whether it was true being invited to the family’s Christmas party, which prompted fellow guest Ben Feldman to gasp “no.” Blair says she didn’t take any pictures out of respect for Jenner’s extremely private family, but that there were real reindeer, which her son loved.
The interview has a lot of lighthearted Kardashian ribbing, including Corden and Blair joking that the show reveals what happened to the family after the trial. Funny how American Crime Story is so popular for basically retelling a story that we already know every detail about, but I guess that’s part of the fun.
