Seth Meyers Takes ‘A Closer Look’ At The Democratic National Convention

Despite lacking the star power of a Scott Baio, the Democratic National Convention has chugged along at a welcome enough pace. Considering that Democrats are currently dealing with the fallout of leaked info, an orderly week in Philadelphia would be a big help for the party.

Late Night host Seth Meyers has done a fantastic job of covering what’s been a batsh*t crazy election season, and last night he focused on Day 2 of the DNC. Wednesday’s instalment of “A Closer Look” placed a magnifying glass on assorted Democratic developments and the occasional Bill Clinton speech. Although Meyers has had no problem tearing Donald Trump to shreds, he’s also sunk his teeth into recent left wing gaffes like the Hillary/Bernie divide and the recent Debbie Wasserman Schultz debacle. This latest go-around features Meyers taking on the disconnect between Bernie Sanders and his most fervent supporters, Howard Dean’s scream reboot and Trump’s attempts to court disappointed Bernie Bros.

“Donald Trump thinking he’ll get Bernie supporters is like WWE Raw thinking they’ll get a bunch of new viewers now that Downton Abbey is off the air,” explained Meyers. “They’re different shows, dude!”

We have this “Closer Look” located at the top of the page for your viewing convenience.
