Mad Max: Fury Road fans were very pleased with the film’s success at the Oscars on Sunday, where it swept most of the technical categories, garnering six wins. In order to honor such a lovely, lovely day, Seth Meyers and the rest of the Late Night team brought viewers “Reasonable Max.” As an eco-conscious War Boy, Meyers questions the necessity of the entire pack of Immortan Joe’s henchmen to go get gasoline from Gas Town, and whether muscle cars and big rigs are the best use of their resources. While he may have a point, Meyer’s War Boy is every Green Peace worker who has ever stopped you on the street to sign a petition about the environment. You’re uncomfortable, they’re uncomfortable, and is anything really solved?

Who cares about practicality when your instrument doubles as a flame thrower? Good luck getting the Immortan and his boys to implement your wind-harnessing techniques and recycling plan, Reasonable Max. No one wants to see that chase scene.
