Admittedly, I am somewhat behind on “Boardwalk Empire.” I have about four and a half unwatched episodes on my DVR as type this. It’s not that I don’t like the show, or that I don’t want to watch it, it’s just that every time I tell myself I’m going to try to get caught up, I’m immediately filled with a desire to do something else. The problem for me is that the show has been moving kind of slow, meticulously setting up chess pieces all over the board, and with all the other TV I try to watch during the week, well… Daddy needs action.

Then last night, while I was watching Sunday Night Football, my Twitter and Tumblr feeds absolutely exploded with people reacting to a particular scene in the season’s penultimate episode. KABOOM. I’ll save the spoilers for the next page, but just know that the official Warming Glow review and analysis of last night’s episode is as follows: WHAT NO ICKY WHY.
