With the next season of Sherlock tentatively starting production in April (giving us a nice turnaround time of maaaaaaybe 2017 for the premiere), fans are more than anxious to get back to the very not gay adventures of Sherlock and Dr. Watson. And the closer we get to the holiday season, the closer we get to the Sherlock holiday special “The Abominable Bride,” a time-twisted salve for people who just can’t wait for season four.

The special is set to air in the U.S. and UK on January 1, and in select theaters January 5 and 6, 2016. If that’s still too long a wait, you can join in the fun of unraveling the latest Sherlock conspiracy theory making the rounds, and all thanks to a coloring book. Note: There are definitely spoilers ahead.

During the third season, it was revealed that Watson’s wife Mary Morstan was secretly a trained assassin and skilled sharpshooter. The popular fan theory was that she was actually Sebastian Moran, one of Moriarty’s henchmen. Watson, of course, ended up burning the file that contained all of the information on her past life without reading it, so there was no confirmation there. Moriarty returned, leaving most trying to figure out how he survived a gunshot wound to the temple at the end of season two. Now, the release of a fancy-schmancy new Sherlock coloring book is raising the question of Mary’s previous identity all over again:

Some have argued that it could just mean that she was one of the snipers previously working with Moriarty, and not that she’s Moran. Showrunners Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have said that the next season will be one of ‘consequences,’ so whatever they’re hinting at, it’s probably not going to be very cheery for anyone involved.
