Thomas Middleditch keeps making an impact every time he stops by Conan. The first time it revolved around him actually being quite the prankster on the set of Silicon Valley, particularly when it comes with touching other people in their sex parts. The second was a team up against Team Coco in a game of Halo 5, which went as well as you’d think. Now he’s back again and travels back in time a bit to relive his early viral fame, all thanks to McDonald’s.

Middleditch makes it quite clear that he doesn’t like McDonald’s, much to the jokey chagrin of Conan, and then tells the story about how he and his friends shot a video to make fun of the “I’m Lovin’ It” ad campaign. It went well and it’s pretty damn funny, but it would seem that the mockery flew under the radar for the folks at McDonald’s. They paid to put the video in a commercial and you can see the finished product below.

That would mean that Middleditch not only made fun of McDonald’s in their own ad, they also paid him and his friends to do so. And now he’s bad mouthing them on national television. If he stopped by one on his way home and urinated all over the bathroom, I’m going to start feeling pretty bad for McDonald’s. Then I’m going to remember the McRib and stop thinking silly thoughts like that.
