Weekend Preview: John Cena Hosts ‘SNL’ And Negan Causes More Chaos On ‘The Walking Dead’

Saturday Night Live (NBC, Saturday 11:30 p.m.) – John Cena is set to host this week in one of the most anticipated shows of the season. Expect plenty of jabs at his wrestling career and for Cena to be pretty funny – he’s already proven he has comedic chops. Oh and look out for President-elect Trump to live tweet the whole thing again. Dude can’t make it to security briefings but he never seems to miss SNL. Priorities, right?

The Walking Dead (AMC, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) – Negan’s still visiting Alexandria, being creepy with baby Judith and mentoring Carl while the rest of the crew are out scavenging. Obviously, this causes tensions to rise and things to quickly spin out of control.

Hell’s Kitchen (Fox, Friday 8:00 p.m.) – The contestants compete in a blindfolded pureed baby food tasting challenge where the winners enjoy a nice massage. Later, during dinner service, everyone’s out to impress celebrity diner Josh McDermitt but miscommunication in the kitchen leads to disaster.

Last Man Standing (ABC, Friday 8:00 p.m.) — Ryan and Kyle get competitive with their zombie knowledge as Mike tries to get Vanessa to return to work after she begins spending her free-time hovering over everyone in the family.

MacGyver (CBS, Friday 8:00 p.m.) – Mac must rescue a kidnapped prodigy with only a set of pliers and a speaker wire.

The Vampire Diaries (CW, Friday 8:00 p.m.) — Damon and Sybil crash Stefan and Caroline’s Christmas Eve dinner and things take a dark, twisted turn. Meanwhile, in a series of flashbacks to Stefan’s past, Stefan is faced with a life-altering decision thanks to Cade and his mysterious agenda.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (CW, Friday 9:00 p.m.) – Rebecca and Valencia team up to investigate the new girl Josh is dating and they discover some shocking information about their “competition.”

Hawaii Five-0 (CBS, Friday 9:00 p.m.) — Five-0 investigates the 10-year-old cold case of a missing teen when a boy suffering from PTSD undergoes hypnosis and realizes he may have witnessed her murder.

Shark Tank (ABC, Friday 9:00 p.m.) – Some Christmas-themed pitches you’ll see tonight: a single mom who works with Santa Claus; a better designed winter glove; and an idea for making gift-giving more personalized.

Z Nation (Syfy, Friday 9:00 p.m.) – “The Man” continues to terrorize Addy while Lucy tries to figure out a way to take him down.

The Exorcist (Fox, Friday 9:00 p.m.) – The Rance family faces a new threat and a potential tragedy surfaces right before Pope Sebastien arrives, forcing Marcus to intervene.

Blue Bloods (CBS, Friday 10:00 p.m.) – Erin investigates the death of an inmate that happened in transit; Jamie shoots a mugger who turns out to be a police officer’s son; and Rev. Potter considers making peace with Frank in order to catch his son’s killer.

Van Helsing (Syfy, Friday 10:00 p.m.) – Vanessa uncovers secrets about her past, causing her to question whether she’s human or a vampire.

Ash vs. Evil Dead (Starz, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) – In the season two finale, Ash, Ruby and Kelly fight for a future where Pablo is alive and Baal and Ash square off in a old-school, drag-out battle to save humanity.

The 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards (A&E, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) – T.J. Miller hosts the 22nd annual awards show celebrating the best in movies and TV this year.

The Dick Van Dyke Show – Now in Living Color! (CBS, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) – CBS is bringing back some classic Dick Van Dyke episodes for us to enjoy. In the first half hour, Rob recalls the day he brought Ritchie home from the hospital, and in the second, Laura inadvertently reveals that Alan Brady wears a toupee on TV.

The Librarians (TNT, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) — Baird sees a vision of her own death at the hands of an otherworldly assassin, so she sets out to stop the prophecy from coming true.

The Simpsons (Fox, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) – Maggie gets spooked by a disturbing Christmas present; Krusty brings his daughter to spend the holidays with the Simpsons; and Rev. Lovejoy seeks to boost attendance to his church by converting members of the community.

Son of Zorn (Fox, Sunday 8:30 p.m.) – Alan must choose whether to celebrate Christmas with his mom or Grafelnik, the Zephyrian holiday of revenge, with Zorn.

Blunt Talk (Starz, Sunday 8:30 p.m.) – Season two ends with Walter still reeling after the confrontation with the Rudolphs and searching for a way to plead his case to the citizens of Los Angeles.

Family Guy (Fox, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) – Peter becomes a mall Santa but the power and fame quickly goes to his head.

Madam Secretary (CBS, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) — Elizabeth tries to stop Israel from taking military action against Iran for its suspected nuclear activity.

Shameless (Showtime, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) – Kev and V start over after losing the bar to Svetlana; Fiona explores a new business opportunity; Frank and Monica make an interesting proposal to the kids; and Debbie pressures Lip to get his sobriety under control.

The Last Man on Earth (Fox, Sunday 9:30 p.m.) – Phil takes Carol on a honeymoon vacation in the hopes of cheering her up and Lewis’ aviation pursuits prove to be a success.

Divorce (HBO, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) – Season one ends with tensions mounting between Frances and Robert thanks to a stunt pulled by her lawyer.

Elementary (CBS, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) – Holmes and Watson have three days to find the person responsible for a gang killing before Shinwell, who’s been wrongly accused, goes to jail for the murders.

The Affair (Showtime, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) – Alison comes back into Cole’s life, complicating things for both of them. Meanwhile, she’s also trying to reconnect with her daughter while fighting a legal battle, but a dangerous affair threatens to derail everything.
