Stephen Colbert Meets ‘Timmy Jenkins,’ Donald Trump’s Chief Nickname Strategist

During Wednesday night’s Late Show campaign coverage, Stephen Colbert noted that since Bernie Sanders swept West Virginia earlier this week, he is now being considered a viable threat to Donald Trump. And how do we know this? Bernie has just received his official nickname from Trump, who told Fox News yesterday, “I call him Crazy Bernie, because he’s not very good.”

Semantics aside, Colbert points out that maybe Bernie should be afraid, since historically Trump’s nicknames have been a death knell for other candidates who have since dropped out of the race, such as “Little Marco,” and “Lyin’ Ted.” To get to the bottom of Trump’s nickname strategy, and whether it will be effective in the general election, Colbert brought out Trump’s “Chief Nickname Strategist” Timmy Jenkins, a boy of approximately 12 to 13 years of age.

Timmy says he brings a solid “five years of playground experience making nerds cry” to the table, and that his nicknames have been so effective in the past that he once made another boy go so far as to change schools. Things get a little out of hand, however, when Colbert himself gets a taste of what Timmy is cooking… Or should I say, “Stinky Colbutt.”
