The ‘Stranger Things’ Kids Gave A Funky Emmys Performance That Didn’t Make It On TV

Jimmy Kimmel might be this year’s Emmys host but it’s the adorable kids from Stranger Things that are doing all the hard work.

After basically running the red carpet, the cast of the hit Netflix show booked it into the Microsoft Theater to entertain a crowd of overheated adult celebrities. Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin hopped up on stage before Kimmel opened the show to perform Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.”

The three look pretty comfortable on stage, and for good reason: Matarazzo and McLaughlin have Broadway roots and Brown regularly posts musical videos on her YouTube channel. (Plus there was that hyped Jimmy Fallon performance that went viral a while ago.)

Sadly, we didn’t get to see the full performance on TV but some lucky audience members (who share our obsession with the young actors) took to Twitter to document the whole thing.

But it wasn’t just a live pop performance the kids treated the crowd to. A while later they showed up again, this time in costume, to pass out homemade PBJ sandwiches to hungry nominees while riding their rusty, trusty bicycles.

Dammit, just when we thought we had finally kicked our Stranger Things habit the Emmys go and do something like this.
