Tamar Braxton Will Not Be Coming Back As A Co-Host Of ‘The Real’

The Tamar Braxton era of The Real is apparently through. Alter your The Real commemorative plates accordingly.

After two seasons on the syndicated talk show, Braxton will be leaving in what both parties are calling a mutual decision. Unlike Braxton, her co-hosts Tamera Mowry, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon, and Loni Love will be sticking with the show as it enters seasons 3 and 4. (The program’s been renewed through 2018.) A joint statement from the show and Braxton seems relatively pleasant about the split.

“THE REAL and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season. She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with THE REAL appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”

It’s not entirely clear if Braxton’s exit from the program has any sort of connection to an Instagram post she placed online on Saturday. In a somewhat cryptic message, Braxton told fans she’d “been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted.” She didn’t elaborate as to who stabbed her in the back beyond it not being not her mom or her sisters.

This seems like as good a time as any to direct your attention to a B. Scott report from a “very reliable source” that claims Braxton was fired.

“She wasn’t reading too well with the audience and sales people didn’t find her to be a good fit with advertisers,” said Scott’s scource. “Also, production found her too difficult to deal with.”

If that’s true, we may not have heard the last of this talk show reshuffling.
