Tara Strong Feels Like She Was Stabbed ‘In The Heart’ Over The New ‘Powerpuff Girls’ Show

Tara Strong is the literal voice of your childhood. She worked on Rugrats, Dexter’s Laboratory, The Fairly OddParents, and The Powerpuff Girls, as Bubbles. But she won’t be in the new Powerpuff Girls show that Cartoon Network has scheduled for 2016. Yesterday, CN announced that Amanda Leighton, Kristen Li and Natalie Palamides will voice Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, respectively, which was news to Strong, who tweeted:

She later added, “I have NO ILL FEELINGS 4 the actresses in the new #ppg, We were just beyond hurt we were NEVER asked..every role I breathe life into I love.” The only returning old-show-to-new-show voice actor is the Narrator/Mayor, Tom Kenny, because it wouldn’t be an animated TV series without Tom Kenny, Billy West or both.
