It’s been over half a year since Sons Of Anarchy ended its 7-season run on FX. Earlier today, the network premiered two new teasers for The Bastard Executioner, marking Kurt Sutter’s bloody return to television. The above clip, appropriately titled “Kneel,” features a man doing just that. But there really may be no better way to kneel, than with one worthy looking rapier.
The second promo, titled “Scythe” can be seen below and gives us a glimpse at the former knight in King Edward’s army who decides to lay down one blade only to pick up another that leads him to carry out the role of executioner.
The Bastard Executioner premieres this fall on FX and stars Lee Jones in the title role as executioner Wilkin Brattle. Stephen Moyer (True Blood) and Katy Sagal (Sons of Anarchy) will also star in the new historically-inspired series. And according to the show’s IMDB page, Kurt Sutter will even make an appearance as “the Dark Mute,” because of course he will.
