‘The Office’ Star Ed Helms Heading To ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’

He played the guy we all loved to hate on The Office and now it looks Ed Helms is coming back to TV, this time to annoy the sh*t out of Andy Samberg. Helms has a booked a guest spot on Samberg’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which is set to come back for its sophomore season this Fall. Andy Bernard’s real life alter-ego is slated to appear in the 7th episode of Season 2. Sadly, while he probably won’t be singing in his a capella group, living up to his “Boner Champ” nickname or bragging about his days at Cornell, he will be giving Samberg’s character a pretty tough time.

Helms is set to play an agent for United States Postal Inspection Service who works with Samberg’s Detective Jake Peralta on a new case. As of right now, Helms is only scheduled for one episode of the show but according to executive producer Dan Goor, that can change anytime the actor chooses.

I know Ed from The Office and The Daily Show, so he’ll be great and hopefully he’ll have fun and be back.

Helms isn’t the only big name appearing on the Fox comedy this season though. Jenny Slate and Eva Longoria are already set to star on the show when it makes its second season debut.
