Who Won’t Make It Out Of The ‘Walking Dead’ Midseason Premiere Alive?

NO PREMIERE SPOILERS, BUT PAST DEATHS WILL COME UP

While the big highlight from our last viewing of The Walking Dead came in the form of Negan’s arrival, the rest of the midseason finale also went down. We got closure on a few things but many character’s fates were left open ended. We’ve already given our thoughts on Daryl, but let’s see if we can predict who else may not be long for the second half of the season.

Maggie (35 percent)

While she has to get down from the post at some point, there’s no way they pull the “Glenn was right there, but was too late to save Maggie and her unborn child” move, right? That just seems too much of an obvious move after keeping Glenn alive and killing Beth in a similar manner. Although Lauren Cohan did get a haircut, and that may or may not mean something.

Sam and/or Ron (45 percent)

This may be more wishful thinking than anything else, but if someone in the walker guts crowd is going to go, one of Jessie’s kids seems most likely. At least Sam has the chance of getting braver going forward. Ron was out here trying to kill Carl. Sure he was foiled this go-round, but we’ve seen what happens when people get second chances on this show. Which brings us to…

Morgan (30 percent)

Once again, Morgan’s insistence on saving a life has caused trouble for others. While I don’t see Rick taking too kindly to this, and possibly sending Morgan to exile, Carol might end up killing him “for the greater good.” You know, if they don’t just get a room already.

The Wolf (65 percent) and Denise (35 percent)

You can understand the Wolf’s logic of trying to go for freedom over fending off three to five others in small quarters, but wildly running through a large group of walkers doesn’t seem ideal. He’s probably going to run into the rest of the group or Glenn on his way out, and they won’t be as forgiving as Morgan. There’s also the question of whether Denise gets sacrificed along the way or has a moment of badassery and manages to kill the Wolf. I’m hoping for the latter.

Deanna (99 percent)

Well, yeah, it’s unlikely that being trapped by walkers without any bullets is going to end well. But what a way to go, right?
