Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin Returns To ‘SNL’ To Endorse Donald Trump

The good: Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin is back.

The bad: Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin is back.

Stripped of context, Fey doing her Palin impression is great. It’s spot on, and hilarious. But unfortunately, it also means the former governor of Alaska is in the news, for her “unhinged endorsement” of Donald Trump. That’s the thing: no matter how insane Fey-as-Palin is, she’s not half as crazy as the actual Palin. Having Darrell Hammond’s Trump react to her Lorax-quoting nonsense, like he did during the cold open to last night’s SNL, didn’t help, either. We can tell Palin’s cuckoo all by ourselves, thank you very much.

Here’s a fun game. Who said it: SNL Palin, or real Palin?

No more pussyfooting around. Our troops deserve the best, you deserve the best. He is from the private sector, not a politician.

Can I get a hallelujah?

That’s real Palin.

“Right-winging, bitter-clinging, proud clingers of our guns, our God, and our religion, and our Constitution.”

That’s also real Palin.

I don’t really think this guy should be president. I’m just here cause he’s promised me a spot in his cabinet. And I belong in a cabinet cause I’m full of spice and I’ve got a great rack.

That’s SNL Palin, but admit it, you had to think about it.
