We’ve had a good 24 hours to analyze Monday’s massive presidential debate, with both candidates claiming victory despite several reports and opinions telling one of them to hold up a bit. That would be Donald Trump, of course, who filled the stage with a wave of lies and continued to seed some doubt after the debate by criticizing the microphone he had on stage. It was a faulty mic and that’s why he gloated about not paying taxes and defended calling a former Miss Universe by the name “Miss Piggy.”

Despite plenty of evidence to the contrary, Trump claimed he “won” the debate and had a good debate. He mentioned that a CBS poll gave it to him, which doesn’t exist, and he also discussed how he held back during the debate. All to the delight of Trevor Noah, who seems to be taking this election in with more glee than any other host in late night.

That’s likely why the show devoted the second segment to Trump’s debate performance, giving the candidate’s statements the “What The Fact” treatment. Trump at least got 32 facts wrong, averaging 1 lie every 2.8 minutes during the debate and eclipsing any number of lies that Clinton spouted out during the debate. It’s the one time that Trump’s media control has seemed to have backfired, taking all the heat off anything you could’ve pointed out against Clinton and keeping the focus directly on his sniffling, climate change denying debate performance. And the best part? The Daily Show has the clips to back it all up.
