‘True Blood’ Is On The Verge Of An All-Out War In The New Trailer For The Final Season

HBO released the second trailer for the upcoming final season of True Blood over the weekend. As you can see, it’s kind of an extension of the first trailer: more talk of the upcoming war, more fire and homemade weapons, more misguided attempts at Southern accents where a character pronounces “take” as “tyyyyhhhhke,” still no sign of Eric, etc. The one major difference is that this trailer features a brief clip of a shirtless Joe Manganiello kicking open a door in a fit of rage. So it’s better, is what I’m saying. Kicking door opens looks awesome and everyone should do it as much their personal financial situation should allow. Although “had to replace too many doors after kicking them open because doing that is awesome as f*ck” is a pretty tremendous reason to go bankrupt. Something to consider.

Oh, and the trailer also starts with Sookie saying “Nobody in this town knows vampires better than me,” which is a pretty reasonable — and badass — thing to say within the show’s forthcoming Battle Royale context, but is substantially less cool to say here in the real world. So, something else to consider, I guess.
