Weekend Preview: The Best Sunday Night Lineup On TV Is Back

Game of Thrones (HBO, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — It’s time to play the game of thrones again. Thankfully HBO has decided to be generous and give us all free streaming rights for the weekend which means even non-subscribers can watch Sunday’s season six premiere, but we do need to get ourselves mentally ready. I doubt we’ll discover Jon Snow’s fate this soon, but we will find out where Dany’s headed and what’s going on with Cersei now that her infamous walk of shame is behind her.

Silicon Valley (HBO, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) — The season three premiere kicks off with Richard still pissed at being outed as CEO of Pied Piper (though Erlich seems to be getting along just fine with the new boss). Meanwhile, Gavin is forced to do damage control and Big Head learns of some major changes on the horizon.

Veep (HBO, Sunday 10:30 p.m.) — Season five begins the day after the election, with Selina seemingly on the path to victory. Catherine’s busy filming a behind-the-scenes documentary; Amy questions her status on the team; Dan considers a career change; and Mike and Wendy plan to adopt a baby from China.

Lemonade (HBO, Saturday 9:00 p.m.) — Okay, we have no clue what the heck this “special” is. Is it a video? An entire album preview? Another documentary? Beyoncé trying to sell us her new brand of vegan-approved beverages? We just don’t know. And honestly, who cares. It’s Beyoncé, so everyone will freak out and probably worship her no matter what. And if none of this interests you, well, at least this whole thing has given you a free weekend of HBO.
