Vanessa Bayer Is Saying Goodbye To ‘SNL’ After 7 Seasons

Underrated Saturday Night Live treasure Vanessa Bayer will be packing it in on SNL when season 42 wraps up tonight.

Deadline reports that Bayer, the program’s longest-serving female cast member at the moment, is exiting the NBC comedy/variety showcase after 7 seasons on the program. That means when tonight’s episode comes to a close, both Bayer and fellow SNL veteran Bobby Moynihan are exiting the show.

As is customary with these sorts of things, it’s a bummer to see Bayer go, but it’s exciting to imagine the assorted thing she’ll do next. The greedy SNL die-hard in in me is crushed we’re saying goodbye to loads of strange, silly and occasionally sinister characters. From pervert elves to porn queen schemers to nervous Bar Mitzvah Boys, Bayer’s blessed us with a healthy stockpile of memorable moments. The big question now is who will supply her hungry guys with Totinos nourishment? WHO???

Speaking of Saturday Night Live farewells, Bobby Moynihan shared an intimate peek at this week’s behind-the-scenes process.

“Last pitch of the season!” wrote Moynihan in the caption of this Instagram memento.
