Just in case you didn’t know, rapper-turned-house-flipper Vanilla Ice was arrested last week for burglary in Florida. Ice — a.k.a. Rob Van Winkle — allegedly stole furniture, a heater, and other items of personal property from an apparently vacant home. This all happened in connection to the former rapper’s show The Vanilla Ice Project on the DIY Network.

Friday morning on Good Morning America, Winkle made a few brief comments about the arrest and the circumstances surrounding it. He told host Lara Spencer that his arrest was “just blown out of proportion”:

“That’s all I can say about it right now. It’s just a mess and I’m dealing with it,” Van Winkle explained.

Whatever happens, much of this will likely appear later on in the show’s current season. Otherwise it’d be slightly difficult to advertise a show titled The Vanilla Ice Project while its titular star is busy “dealing with” court appearances.
