David Letterman Told Oprah He Is Taking One Item From His CBS Office When He Leaves ‘The Late Show’

Oprah Winfrey stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman on Friday. With his final week approaching as host of the long running late night talk show, Oprah asked him about his experience cleaning out his CBS office. Allegedly it’s been pretty easy as Letterman began moving out his items four years ago.

Winfrey then asked the host if he was planning on taking anything from the show once he left. Letterman shared with her and the audience a description of the faulty rubber sink stopper that’s been in his office bathroom since he moved from NBC over to the network 20 years ago. After two decades at the network — and over three decades as a late night host — David Letterman is taking a wonky sink stopper as his only memento from the show.

To each their own, I suppose!
