View the Poster for Season Two of 'Game of Thrones'

It’s only 10 hours into March and its lousy (S)March weather, and I’m already sick of it. Why? Because we’re still ONE MONTH away from the second season premiere of HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” I don’t think I could be more excited. Sure, sure, “Mad Men” begins in March, but only one episode. There are FIVE in April. So, again, April is gonna own, even if, to be honest, the official season two poster for “Game of Thrones” doesn’t. It looks like the sequel to The Passion of the Christ, in which someone steals Jesus’s crown and declares war on the world. *loosens collar* See full-size post-jump. HBO has signed a deal with German gaming group Bigpoint to develop a massive multiplayer online role playing game based on HBO’s Emmy-winning fantasy series “Game of Thrones.”

Bigpoint, which developed a similar MMORPG based on the “Battlestar Galactica” series, said it will give an exclusive first-look into plans for the game next week the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco (March 5-9).

As with “Battlestar Galactica,” the “Game of Thrones” online game will be free-to-play. The game will be set in the series’ fictional medieval world of Westeros and feature plotlines inspired by the show and George R.R. Martin’s original A Song of Ice and Fire book series.
