Over five seasons of The Walking Dead, fan favorite Daryl has killed more walkers than any other character (and broken just as many hearts, or at least touched as many butts). Must be the sweet chain-whipping action that put him over runner-up Rick (142 to 137). But the human survivors tend to prefer the simplistic splat, squish, and slice method of disposing zombies, as revealed in Fast Company’s “most creative” Walking Dead kills supercut.
Ways I’d want to kill a zombie, ranked:
4. “Tear Them Apart”
Too messy, too primitive, too many eyeballs popping out everywhere.
3. “Smash Them”
Step one, locate a rock; step two, keep looking for a rock; step three, oh god, they’re getting closer, I need to find a goddamn rock; step four, there is no step four because you’re dead. Couldn’t find a rock in time.
2. “Slice Them”
Michonne’s preferred method. It means you get to carry a sword, which, awesome, and keep your distance from the walkers. Don’t pull a Gob, though.
1. “Blow Them Away”
Ol’ reliable. Bazookas and rocket launchers are preferred.
