Weekend Preview: Will This Be The End For ‘Homeland’s’ Nicholas Brody?

Homeland (Showtime, Sunday 9 p.m.) — (SEASON FINALE) It didn’t seem to make sense that Damian Lewis’ Nicholas Brody would stick around for a third season (and even Lewis thought he should’ve been killed off), but I admit that, after several stumbles, it was worth it for last week’s intense episode. On the other hand, there’s no way that character should stick around for a fourth season. We’ll find out on Sunday night if Showtime has the guts to kill him off.

Masters of Sex (Showtime, Sunday 10 p.m.) — A much better, but less watched Showtime series, ends a fantastic first season on Sunday, as well. Related: Lizzy Caplan is a lot of fun when she’s naked and drunk on a TV set.

Saturday Night Live (NBC, Saturday 11:30 p.m.) — One of Saturday Night Live’s best and most frequent guests, John Goodman, hosts this week. Best John Goodman sketch: Go! (Sorry, unless you said Linda Tripp, you are wrong). Here’s 10 things everyone should know about the guy.

Raising Hope (Fox, Friday 9 p.m.) — In one of tonight’s two episodes, Burt runs for mayor. Why? Because he wants to improve the town? Because he wants the wealth and power? No, silly. Because he wants Virginia to be able to plug in Natesville’s Christmas tree. God, I love this show.

Celebrity Holiday Homes (HGTV, Friday 8 p.m.) — The only reason I mention this is because in tonight’s episode, Tiffani Thiessen decks out her home the holiday season, and I just want to see if she brings home homeless people from the mall, like she did in the Saved by the Bell Christmas episode.

It’s a Wonderful Life (NBC, Saturday 8 p.m.) — Nope. Actually, NBC has decided to bump its traditional airing of It’s a Wonderful Life from this Saturday until next Saturday to make room for an encore performance of Carrie Underwood’s Sound of Music. THANKS NBC.

Survivor (CBS, Sunday 8 p.m.) — SEASON FINALE. This is the first season of Survivor ever that I haven’t watched. Just couldn’t fit it in. Did I miss anything?
