What's On Tonight: Does Anyone Want To Start (Watching) A 'Revolution'?

Revolution (NBC, 10 p.m.) — Series premiere. “OK, so, like there’s no more technology in the world because something bad happened, and then a hot girl and a dude in an AC/DC shirt and Gus Fring from Breaking Bad walk around for awhile,” said the baked out of his mind NBC executive who got Revolution on the air. It’s not supposed to be very good, but the premise is intriguing enough to at least give the pilot a shot.

Adventure Time (Cartoon Network, 7:30 p.m.) — This season of Adventure Time seems like it’s been going on for years, not months. Then again, there are worse things in life than a surplus of Princess Bubblegum.

Bones (Fox, 8 p.m.) — Nailed it.

CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock (ABC, 8 p.m.) — ABC should follow up this special with BET Music Festival: Rap’s Night to Polka.

The Mob Doctor (Fox, 9 p.m.) — Series premiere, about a Chicago surgeon (played by My Boys‘ Jordana Spiro) who, you guessed it, also works for the mob. MAMA MIA WHAT’S THIS-A MEATBALL AND CABBAGE PIZZA PIE DOING IN MY OPEN HEART-A SURGERY, is what I hope the dialogue sounds like.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Mindy Kaling on Letterman; Richard Gere and Anthony Robles on Leno; Matthew Perry, Josh Hamilton, and Kreayshawn on Kimmel; Julie Chen and Warren Sapp on Ferguson; Susan Sarandon, Karl Urban, and Jim Hamilton on Fallon; Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, and Nancy & Beth on Conan; Kofi Annan on Stewart; and Drew Faust on Colbert.
