What’s On Tonight: ‘Timeless’ Takes On Watergate And Nat Geo Heads To ‘Mars’

Mars (Nat Geo, 9:00 p.m.) — National Geographic’s global event series kicks off tonight. The Ron Howard directed vehicle blends documentary style interviews in the present with scripted television set in the future, all centered on furthering a mission to mars. In 2033, humanity’s first trip to the red planet is about to become a reality, but not without some sacrifice and hardship. If you thought The Martian was interesting, you’ll love this.

Timeless (NBC, 10:00 p.m.) — Wyatt’s tragic past is revealed and secrets about Flynn’s hidden agenda emerge as the team travels to Watergate-era Washington D.C. I think now more than ever, we could use a lesson from that particular point in history.

Dancing With the Stars (ABC, 8:00 p.m.) — The remaining couples are tasked with performing two dances each plus a trio dance as another pair gets sent packing.

Gotham (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) — Gordon and Bullock investigate the murder at Lee and Mario’s engagement party after Barnes starts acting suspicious. Ivy introduces herself to Selina and Bruce and Nygma turns to Penguin for help.

Kevin Can Wait (CBS, 8:00 p.m.) — Kevin’s new bartending gig might be over before it begins. Apparently, no one told the guy that bartender’s just serve drinks, not unsolicited opinions.

Supergirl (CW, 8:00 p.m.) — Alex has finally realized she’s gay but she’s still struggling to come to terms with what that means for the relationships in her life. Meanwhile, Mon-El considers a career change and the Guardian comes to National City to help Kara after an alien parasite drains her of her powers.

The Voice (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) — The Top 12 perform tonight.

WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, 8:00 p.m.) — Survivor Series is almost here but first, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg face off.

American Dad! (TBS, 8:00 p.m.) — Steve brings home a bad grade prompting Stan to produce a full-fledged reenactment of Charles Lindbergh’s solo flight for his upcoming school project.

Man With a Plan (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) — Adam cleans out the garage but panics when a valuable keepsake goes missing.

2 Broke Girls (CBS, 9:00 p.m.) — The girls decide to add cocktails to the menu at their new dessert bar but when the go to take their bartending exam, Max comes down with a case of the chicken pox which leaves Sophie to take the test alone.

Jane the Virgin (CW, 9:00 p.m.) — Jane reads Alba’s letters from her estranged sister while Michael and Rafael attempt a friendship. Unfortunately for them, things get off to a rocky start.

People of Earth (TBS, 9:00 p.m.) — The origin of StarCrossed is revealed, which means we learn a bit more about Gina’s past and Ozzie’s former employer pays a surprise visit to Beacon.

Lucifer (Fox, 9:00 p.m.) — Azrael’s blade is stolen by a human and Lucifer believes a rash of violent stabbings may be a result of the theft. Chloe looks into the murders while Lucifer and Emma work together to retrieve the sword.

The Odd Couple (CBS, 9:30 p.m.) — Felix tries to cheer Emily up after she admits to missing England and Dani gets a promotion at work but the job upgrade comes with the condition that she find a suitable replacement for herself.

Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party (VH1, 10:00 p.m.) — Martha and Snoop Dog host model Ashley Graham and Rick Ross for a lobster dinner.

Scorpion (CBS, 10:00 p.m.) — The team travels to Ireland to attend Megan’s memorial but Walter is distracted by a natural disaster in a nearby lake that created a poisonous cloud that’s threatening the entire village.

Conviction (ABC, 10:00 p.m.) — It’s sad that ABC’s been given the gift of not one, but two Hayley Atwell-starring TV shows and they haven’t been able to make either of them work. Conviction’s already received its eviction notice at the network but it still has a few more episodes to go before getting the boot. Tonight, The CIU team takes up the case of a African-American civil-rights activist serving time for killing a white female cop at a race-equality rally.

Full Frontal With Samantha Bee (TBS, 10:30 p.m.) — Bee explores America’s empathy problem (pretty sure she’s not talking about how we should try to understand the “plight” of Trump supporters).
