What’s On Tonight: Courtney Love Plays A Stoned Diva On ‘Empire,’ Obviously

Empire (FOX, 9:00 p.m.) — Lucious makes a big announcement and Cookie is tasked with managing a diva with substance issues who hasn’t released an album in years and she does, because she is One. Tough. Cookie. Also, Courtney Love and Raven Symone guest star. Seriously.

Arrow (CW, 8:00 p.m.) — Oliver finds out about Laurel’s costumed vigilante-ing and Vertigo returns, which means we get a long hit off of some surprisingly enjoyable semi-indecipherable overacting from Peter Stormare.

ABC Comedies (ABC, 8:00-10:00 p.m.) — The Heck children deal with Valentine’s Day on The Middle, football threatens to come between love on The Goldbergs, Juliana and Clive return on Modern Family, and Dre tries to avoid a fight on Black-Ish.

Nashville (ABC, 10:00 p.m.) — Rayna tries to control the story about hers and Luke’s break-up after the rumor mill starts to turn and Juliette is eager to get back to singing.

Workaholics (Comedy Central, 10:00 p.m.) — The guys half-nakedly wake up next to each other in a bold world of discovery and unfamiliar substances.

The Americans (FX, 10:00 p.m.) — Elizabeth and Phil (we’re tight like that) inch closer to the C.I.A. Afghan Group, and as a non-watcher, my mind is vibrating over what that could mean. I assume it’s well-trained intelligence operatives who happen to crochet and Liz wants to get in on that action cause she loves fabric and she needs a hobby. Let me know if I’m warm in the comments.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FXX, 10:00 p.m.) — The synopsis says: “After Dennis and Mac enlist Dee to spy on the fish factory across the street, Charlie and Frank grow suspicious and decide to do some spying of their own.” Why can’t they just say that “Something fishy is up at the factory across the street”? So much better.

Broad City (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.) — Abbi and Ilana venture into Tre’s centered, renewable, and fit world for a party.

Man Seeking Woman (FXX, 10:30 p.m.) — Minka Kelly is interested in Josh. This is the strangest episode yet.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Sam Smith on Kimmel; Bill Belichick on Letterman; William Shatner joins Wayne Brady on The Late Late Show; Hugh Grant, Charles Barkley, and Kyle Kinane on Fallon; William H. Macy and Kenny Smith on Meyers; Colin Firth on The Daily Show; Lauren Cohan, Robert Kirkman, and Josh McDermitt on a Walking Dead-centric @Midnight; and Anna Kendrick and Gabrielle Union on Conan.
