What’s on Tonight: NERDS!

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) — “Star Trek: The Next Generation” actors Wil Wheaton and Brent Spiner guest star. What happened to Spiner? He looks like the senator dude from the X-Men movies after he gets all water-logged.

Community/Parks and Rec (NBC) — Alan Sepinwall claims that tonight’s episode of “Community” is one of the best the show has ever made, while “P&R” showrunner Michael Schur tweeted that tonight’s 50th episode of the series is one of his personal favorites (watch a clip below). So of course my monthly co-op shift starts at 8:00. Dammit, why did I have to become a yuppie?!?

The Secret Circle (CW) — This is a show.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX) — Frank’s brother Gino (played by character actor Jon Polito) shows up to reveal some family secrets. Danny DeVito’s dyed-black skullet might be the funniest and most horrifying thing on TV this fall.

Baseball Playoffs (Fox/TBS) — Rangers at Tigers on Fox (already underway) and Brewers at Cardinals on TBS. Tony LaRussa is the most overrated manager in baseball history.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Bill O’Reailly on Letterman; Zachary Levi and GLORIA ESTEFAN on Leno; John Goodman on Kimmel; Kathy Bates on Ferguson; Cedric the Entertainer and Julianne Hough on Fallon; Gloria Steinem on Chelsea; and Sarah Michelle Gellar and the Dropkick Murphys on Conan. (P.S. Sorry about the spotty posting today; the KSK mailbag and some Uproxx work took up more time than I anticipated.)
