What’s On Tonight: An ‘SNL’ Christmas Special And Monday Night Football

A Saturday Night Live Christmas (NBC, 9 p.m.) – The Saturday Night Live crew is here to rescue us from the monotony that is television programming during the holidays by reminding us no one does Christmas quite like they do. From “Dick in a Box” to Drunk Uncle, Stefon’s holiday picks, “Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood” and of course, those Schweddy Balls, here’s really the only thing worth watching tonight.

Monday Night Football: Lions at Saints (ESPN, 8:15 p.m.) – If, for some reason, you’d rather watch a bunch of guys in tight pants knock the sh*t out of each other rather than the aforementioned comedy sketch show, tonight the Detroit Lions travel to New Orleans to take on Drew Brees and the Saints.

The Great Christmas Light Fight (ABC, 8 p.m.) – The season three finale sees one family showcasing their handmade plasma icicles in California; another group sporting a gaudy Seahawks logo in their front lawn in Washington state; and a handmade carousel and Ferris wheel serving as the masterpiece of an Ohio family’s decorative collection. Oh, and someone winning $50,000 dollars for using up all the Earth’s energy this holiday season.

WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, 8 p.m.) – Roman Reigns continues to, well, reign over the entire WWE and we’re not complaining – especially if it means more Vince McMahon knockout shots.

Major Crimes (TNT, 9 p.m.) – Romance blooms in the workplace as a new killer decides to make a flick with his victims as the stars.

Women in Prison: Extra Time (TLC, 8/9 p.m.) – A look at the real lives of women behind bars with one woman fighting for custody of her son and another reconnecting with her estranged mother. It’s like Orange Is the New Black if the Jenji Kohan show was a documentary and incredibly depressing.

Legends (TNT, 10 p.m.) – Kate’s gone missing in Prague and suspicions rise about Terrence.

The Great Holiday Baking Show (ABC, 10 p.m.) – The season one finale has the three final bakers competing in three final challenges in the hopes of being crowned “Baking Champion of the World” or whatever the hell they get for winning this show.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS:  Kimmel, Fallon, Corden, Colbert, Meyers and Conan are all repeats.
