What’s On Tonight: Honey Badgers And Matthew McConaughey

Honey Badgers: Masters of Mayhem (PBS, 8:00 p.m.) – From TV Guide: “A look at the honey badger, which is known as the ‘thug of the savanna.’ It is one of the most fearless animals in the world, renowned for its ability to confront grown lions and shrug off the toxic defenses of stinging bees, scorpions and snakes.” THE THUG OF THE SAVANNA. And it gets even better. PBS brought back that Randall dude to do the voiceover for the trailer. I’ve posted it below. I love that guy.

Jimmy Kimmel Live (11:30 p.m.) – Bumped up top because his lead guest is True Detective star Matthew McConaughey. I guarantee this will be great, and I guarantee it will leave me unsatisfied. Ten minutes is not enough McConaughey. I need him to start a podcast.

Inside the Actor’s Studio (Bravo, 8:00 p.m.) – Amy Adams joins host James Lipton. It’s hilarious that this show is the one remaining holdover from Bravo’s days as a serious acting/film network, because sometimes it results in, like, Ethan Hawke or whoever giving a long, thoughtful answer about how a traumatic event informed one of his performances, followed immediately by a commercial featuring five middle-aged millionaires in skin-tight neon dresses screaming at each other inside a California Pizza Kitchen.

Workaholics/Broad City (Comedy Central, 10:00-11:00 p.m.) – Yo. Broad City is good. Watch Broad City.

Wahlburgers (A&E, 10:30 p.m.) – Tonight on Wahlburgers, Mark and Paul go golfing and leave their mother in charge of the restaurant. “AY. MA. ME AND PAUL AH GOIN’ GAHFIN’. YO-AH IN CHA-AHGE FAH THE TIME BEIN’.”

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Kaitlyn Farrington on Letterman; Kevin Costner and comedian Tony Deyo on Ferguson; Bradley Cooper and Tim McGraw on Fallon; David O. Russell on Stewart; Alexander Payne on Colbert; and Ray Romano on Conan.
