Mulder And Scully Finally Reunite In The Latest Teasers For ‘The X-Files’ Revival

Since the release of a brief teaser in July, nothing new has been seen from the set of the new X-Files event series set to air in January. Commonly referred to as a “revival,” the new mini-series reunites special agents Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny), but the details of the story arc and the occasional “monster of the week” episodes remain to be seen. At least, that was before Monday night’s episodes of Gotham and Minority Report.

As Coming Soon reports, two halves of a 1:15-minute teaser aired during each show’s broadcast — the 30-second clip above during Gotham, and the 45-second clip below during Minority Report. Neither is an official cut of the video, but considering the series in question (and the excitable fans who watch it), it’s no surprise that bootleg copies like these two clips started popping up on YouTube within hours.

On the one hand, neither half of this new teaser reveals anything new about The X-Files event series. The only real attraction to either is all the new footage of Mulder and Scully reuniting to take on more cases, dealing with Walter Skinner’s (Mitch Pileggi) bureaucratic bullsh*t, and a fleeting appearance of the Cigarette-Smoking Man (William B. Davis).

On the other hands, this is the f*cking X-Files we’re talking about. So of course this new two-part teaser is the best thing on the Internet right now.
