To Dream’s rabid fans, IV Play didn’t disappoint, despite what might be concluded by the first week’s poor sales. One odd aspect overlooked in our intoxication of new tunes from The Love King, however, was how “Dope Bitch” was absent from the record. Admittedly, I was a little irked to read that the “super deluxe” version of the album – not just the regular deluxe version that I sprung for – would include “Dope Bitch” and “ROC.”
For whatever reason, The-Dream packaged “Dope Bitch” and “ROC” along with two previously unheard jams into the Climax EP. Sonically, “Thirsty Whore” sounds like it’s traveling on a similar wave length to “Walking On The Moon,” while “Com’On” is another synthy, angsty break-up song.
