Florida State, Auburn Headline 2013-2014 College Football Bowl Schedule

By / 12.09.13

“Sources” began to blossom in ESPN reports yesterday afternoon about BCS bowl game match-ups, so it was only a matter of time before said sources had their information confirmed by the Worldwide Leader In Sports.

Some of the match-ups were already obvious even before news leaked: No. 1 Florida State will face No. 2 Auburn in the BCS National Championship game and No. 4 Michigan State will play No. 5 Stanford in the 100th Rose Bowl.

The three other BCS bowls include a UCF-Baylor Fiesta Bowl (since the Fiesta always gets screwed out of its match-ups) on Jan. 1; a fairly juicy Oklahoma-Alabama Sugar Bowl also on Jan. 1 and an Ohio State-Clemson Orange Bowl on Jan. 3. All of the BCS games will air on ESPN, with the national championship, Fiesta and Sugar’s kicking off at 8:30 p.m., while the Rose’s kicking off at 5 p.m. The Orange’s kick-off is still to be determined.

The non-BCS slate has some promising match-ups, including a USC-Fresno State Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 21 to start bowl season and a Wisconsin-South Carolina Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1.
