Raekwon remains one of the few older artists who’s still putting out quality music decades after their peak time in the spotlight. Lyrically, he’s not too far off from his youthful prime, only nowadays he just doesn’t get all the hype and attention he did about twenty years ago (geez, that was weird to type). And so, any project that has his name behind it instantly gets a listen from me.
For his latest outing,Lost Jewlry, Rae cooked up a twelve song EP, which could’ve just as easily qualified as a full-length album. For those of you that are looking for other names, the features are highlighted by Freddie Gibbs, Maino, and Faith Evans, while production comes courtesy of Statik Selektah, Scram Jones, Roads-Art and more. For added umph, check out the visuals for the Scram Jones-produced track “Came Up” below.
