Pope Francis continued his reign as the Coolest Pope Ever yesterday, when he let an F-bomb fly during his Sunday prayer to followers gathered in St. Peter’s Square. Well, to be fair, maybe it wasn’t completely intentional, but we’ll let that slide. Swearing Pope? Swearing Pope. The Local reports:
The Pope’s message of charity was lost in translation on Sunday, as he accidentally muddled “caso” (“case”) with “cazzo” (“f*ck”).
“If each one of us does not amass riches only for oneself, but half for the service of others, in this f*ck [pause], in this case the providence of God will become visible through this gesture of solidarity,” he told followers amassed in St Peter’s Square.
Although a flustered Pope quickly corrected his error, the pontiff’s gaffe was quickly published on YouTube and has since garnered tens of thousands of hits.
Ehhh, he didn’t seem that flustered to me, for a guy who just threw down the Italian version of the F-Word to like thousands of people. All I know is that Pope Francis would probably make an awesome dinner guest, and probably not even mind if things got a little bit messy.
