Meet Mara Teigen (no relation to Chrissy Teigen), a 21-year-old model boasting 580,000 followers on Instagram who, until now, has been best known for being part of Kylie Jenner’s crew — recently appearing in some dumb music video she made about lip gloss. But this week, Teigen gained fame for another reason, because some people happen to think she bears a striking resemblance to 40-year-old Angelina Jolie. (Not to be confused with Veronika Black, a woman who went viral last year over claims that she was the mother of six’s doppelganger.)
PopSugar was the first to point out the similarity earlier this week, citing:
The model’s light eyes are framed by winged-out lashes that closely mirror Angelina’s, and they have the same forehead and pillowy pout. Mara especially likes to accentuate hers with Kylie Lip Kits.
See, there lies the problem, in my opinion. The lips are definitely one of the more noticeable features, but while Jolie’s lips are au naturale, Teigen’s are clearly enhanced. So there is undeniably a similarity, but it’s a cartoonish one at best. Of course, it doesn’t help that Teigen is also half of Jolie’s age.
